Idahoans love a 4th of July parade

Boise--The Fourth of July is a US holiday commemorating the signing of the Declaration of Independence of the United States on July 4, 1776.

On that fateful day, the Continental Congress boldly declared that the thirteen American colonies were no longer a part of Great Britain and were now united, free, and independent states. The Congress actually voted to declare independence two days earlier, on July 2, but it was not declared until July 4th.

Independence Day in Idaho through the years has meant fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, and ceremonies. It has always been a rowdy and joyous holiday and just about every town and hamlet celebrated Independence Day in grand style.
